How does the free trial work?
The trial runs for 30 days for up to 50 students, with every module switched on and no credit card required. When you are ready, choose the plan that fits your student count — monthly, or annually to save two months.
Do prices include GST?
No. Plan prices exclude GST, and 18% GST is added on your tax invoice — CGST and SGST for schools in Maharashtra, IGST for schools in other states. Add your school’s GSTIN in settings and it is printed on the invoice so you can claim input tax credit. Invoices are issued by Navya Systems, the company behind iMetricSchool.
What do SMS, WhatsApp and email messages cost?
Messaging is not bundled into your plan. Connect your own SMS, WhatsApp or email provider account and pay your provider directly — there is no licence fee for connecting it — or use iMetricSchool-managed messaging and pay only for what you send. SMS and WhatsApp are usage-based, email includes a usage allowance, and Telegram is included.
Are there extra charges for online fee payments?
You connect your school’s own payment gateway account, and that provider’s transaction fees apply. iMetricSchool adds no fee on top, and there is no licence fee for connecting your account.
How do we get started?
Book a demo and we will walk through the product with your questions. For a trial we set up your school, you import students from a spreadsheet, and we help you configure classes, fee structures and roles. How long it takes depends mostly on how ready your data is — we will give you a realistic plan after the first call.
Is our data secure and private?
Each school’s data is kept separate from every other school’s. Access is controlled by role-based permissions, staff can turn on two-factor sign-in, sensitive actions are recorded in an audit log, and our hosted cloud uses HTTPS throughout. See the Security page for details.
Who owns the data?
You do. An administrator can export every record of the school as a single file at any time, and download point-in-time snapshots — no request to us needed.
What does the “Intelligent” part actually do?
Routine follow-up happens without anyone asking: fee reminders go out on the schedule you set, late fees are computed daily, parents of absent students are notified, and an early-warning list flags students whose attendance, marks or fees are slipping. Optional AI features answer questions in plain language and draft messages and report-card remarks.
Does the AI cost extra or send our data anywhere?
AI is off by default. If you turn it on, you connect your own OpenAI, Google or Anthropic account and set a monthly token budget, so you control the cost. The assistant can only run a fixed set of safe queries, and each person can only see data their role already allows.
Can parents and students use it on their phones?
Yes. Parents and students sign in from any phone browser and can add iMetricSchool to their home screen — no app store needed. They see attendance, fees, results, homework, bus location and notices, and can request leave or pay fees online.
Do you support schools outside India?
Yes. Each school sets its own currency, time zone, grade scales and document footers. India-specific features such as the UDISE+ export are simply there if you need them. Talk to us about pricing in your region.
Can we host it ourselves?
Yes. Besides our hosted cloud, iMetricSchool can run on-premise on your own server. Talk to us about the setup that suits your school or group.
